rainbows and unicorns

This week, we saw a rainbow but no unicorns. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop looking for unicorns. ;)
After it rains, when the sun comes out, we sometimes get the biggest brightest rainbows I've ever seen. Joe took the picture above when he was out on a walk with Bodhi this week.
It's so colorful and alive up here in winter. All the rain turns the hillsides a deep green. The creek is a beautiful turquoise. Soon the steelhead will be swimming upstream on the last leg of their long journey home from the ocean.
And sunrise the other day was really something else.
