Many of you know that Bodhi came from our local shelter. He was the runt of a litter of 12 puppies found out in the woods about 10 miles east of here. This picture is from the first time I saw him. (That's him in the middle with his nose sticking through the chain link fence.) Adopting him was one of the best things that's ever happened in my life.
My heart has been heavy thinking of all the needless suffering being inflicted on humans and animals in Ukraine. I don't have words to describe it, but I decided to take action that will help ease some of that suffering.
There are so many charities doing good work there, and I decided that I wanted to help the animals that are fleeing Ukraine, the ones that are in shelters there, and the brave people who are risking everything to care for those animals.
I donated to an international charity helping animals in Ukraine and refugees with pets.
I also donated to Sirius shelter in Ukraine which is struggling to make it day to day.

Your support of the podcast is part of the reason I was able to do this. Thank you so much.
Here's the first pic we took of him once we got back home to the mountain.💜
